Greece travel adventure
We love to travel in comfort and style and this specially designed comprehensive tour offers you the best of lodging, food, music, sun, beaches and ancients sites. Our first days in Greece are dedicated to the exploration of Athens
and its fabulous remnants of its ancient wealth and power and we drive along the coastline to spend
an afternoon at Cap Sunion for a visit to the Poseidon Temple and view a gorgeous
sunset. We travel to the Peloponnes where we discover the ancient
city of Corinth and Epidaurus with its amphitheater and the Asclepios sanctuary.
The theatre which has a capacity of 14,000 people is most famous for its
impeccable acoustic. We consult the oracle of Delphi we visit Mycenae and admire the
Lion's gate and King Agamemnon's palace, first discovered by German archaeologist
Heinrich Schliemann. We enjoy a seaside lunch before we continue our journey to Kalambaka. "Secluded location, panoramic view, quiet neighbors, unique construction",
a realtors description of our next destination, the famous monasteries
of Meteora. We spend the day admiring the monks ingenuity and craftsmanship. For our travels to the Islands we'll embark
the ferry in Piraeus to visit Mykonos, one of the islands on our tour in the Aegean Sea and known for its wonderful beaches. We continue to the charming island of Naxos,
where Theseus abandoned Ariadne. The island of Santorini, officially known as Thira is arguable the most beautiful island
in the Mediterranean Sea. Two days on the Island offers plenty of adventure as we climb the volcano,
sail along the coast, discover the villages and enjoy Santorini's typical folklore lifestyle. Our journey continues to Greece's most southerly and largest island, Crete.
We explore the historic palace of Knossos, home of the mythical Minotaur,
drive along the coast line to Chania, hike the incredible Samaria Gorge
and spend the night in this charming Venetian port town. We return to Athens by plane and on to our final destination home. Join us, on this comprehensive women travel tour, guided by your experienced Arctic Ladies and native Greek guides, certified by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
