home of "The valley of the eagles". A float on the Chilkat river

CANOE ADVENTURE
This hiking and canoe safari is a Naturalist's Delight.
The Swan Lake and Swanson River canoe trails are located in the northern
lowlands of the Kenai Wildlife National Refuge, a wilderness area of 1.3
million acres. A trip on these waterways is a very special adventure because
of the natural beauty of the country and the varied wildlife. It's fairly
common to see moose, black and brown bears, trumpeter swans, wolves, bald
eagles, mink, beaver and otters. Song-, shore birds and waterfowl nest
along the lake shores. The canoe route connects more than 30 beautiful
lakes with forks of the Moose River. Plenty of time to try some fishing
along the way and relax at remote campgrounds. Women participating in this high energy adventure have to be in good physical condition to really enjoy this backpacking and canoeing excursion.

WINTER WONDERLAND
Winter in the Arctic is breathtaking with twilight hours accented by red
glowing sunrises and sunsets lasting for hours. We are on the spot, when
the world famous IDITAROD race starts in Anchorage and are part of the
exciting atmosphere. Heading north to Talkeetna, a little bush town, is
a true Alaskan experience and offers great views of Mount McKinley on our
flight seeing trip. Escape and relax in the natural hot springs at
Chena Resort and feel the tranquility of the surrounding wilderness. Enjoy
snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing and a dog sled ride through boreal fores, and crawl
up the mountain on a snow cat for a nightly tour to experience the magic
of the Aurora Borealis. A day trip to Seward to enjoy a wildife/gclaier cruise and
a couple of relaxing days in Girdwood/Alyeska, Alaska's cozy ski resort,
